It had gotten to the point where Shawn's nightly emergence didn't startle her into reaching for her colt any more. And it had gotten to a point where Danielle was reasonably good at hiding the disgust she felt when she saw Shawn or Dad. Or the things walking around, wearing her brother and father like suits.
What still rattled her cage was Shawn's strange obsession with Lacey.
"Uh, I don't know," she said, turning away from the window. Her skin still felt warm from the sunlight. "Rerun." Blatant lie. She'd just had too much on her mind to tune in. "The one where Tony and Edita go at it in Max's bed. And, uh, Val proposes to Kym's mother."
Or were those two different episodes?
Probably best to change the subject. "Dude, take a shower. You stink."
